Green Smoothie for Healthy Digestion
It is winter and it is absolutely freezing here in Connecticut. My meals around this time of the year are typically warm bowls of veggies, grains and protein, or a cup of chili, and the necessary hot tea. For some reason, this winter I have been craving smoothies. And when I say craving them, you better believe it. I have had one nearly every single day for the past month. Needless to say, I am now obsessed. There is no stopping this smoothie addiction. I've been creating anything from bowls with berries to to-go cups with all the greens. This smoothie though, has been my all-time favorite. I have perfected the recipe to not only taste FAB, but also include healing properties for the tummy. I have had a lot of issues with bloating, cramping, and stomach aches, but after eating this green smoothie, my problems have significantly subsided. It is packed with waist-slimming and gut healing collagen peptides and fresh ginger to soothe tummy aches. Matcha is added to boost your digestion and metabolism, and flax is full of fiber. I hope you give it a try and see the same results!
Green Smoothie for
2 cups spinach (approx. 1 large handful)
1/2 c frozen pineapple
1/2 c frozen cauliflower
1/2 in fresh ginger
1 tbsp flax seeds
1/2 tsp matcha
1 scoop collagen peptides (I use Collagen for Her)
1/2 c unsweetened almond milk
Place spinach and the powders in a blender of food processor and blend until smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients to the green mixture and blend until well mixed. Pour in a cup and take it on the go, or pour into a bowl and add any toppings you are craving! Enjoy.
