Dark Chocolate Reese's Cups
Look no further! These dark chocolate peanut butter cups are the ultimate crowd pleaser! I was determined to find a healthier alternative to the classic Reese’s Cup and my goodness did I find it! This recipe is very simple with no baking required. Just mix the ingredients and pop them in the freezer.
Is there really a better combination than peanut butter and chocolate? I think not. These make the PERFECT treat to cut your sweet tooth. I especially love them served right out of the freezer.
Dark Chocolate PB Cups
1/2 cup creamy pb⠀
1/4 cup vanilla protein ⠀
1 tsp vanilla extract ⠀
1 tbsp coconut oil⠀
1 tbsp pure maple syrup or honey ⠀
1 bar (1.8oz) 80% cacao chocolate ⠀
Line mini muffin tin with baking cups.
Break up the chocolate into small pieces and add coconut to a bowl. Heat in microwave until just melted.
Pour melted chocolate into the baking cups until it just covers the bottom of each (half the chocolate).
Place in freezer for five minutes.
Mix the pb, protein, vanilla and maple syrup together to form a creamy dough. Roll into small balls and press onto the frozen chocolate cups.
Pour the melted chocolate on top of the pb to cover it and freeze for 10 more minutes.
Once completely chilled, peel baking cups off and serve. (Store in freezer or refrigerator).
